Cyprio's
pressurized Bioforce filters can be used either above-ground or in-ground.
This versatile filter is available in four sizes with or without a UV clarifier.
Being pressurized by the pond pump (sold separately), water can be pumped
up from the Bioforce filter to the top of a waterfall. Bioforce is ideal
for pond keepers who want simplicity, clear water and an attractive hidden
filter system.
Here
is how it works: Pond water enters the Bioforce tangentially, spinning
the water inside the filter to settle out solids. Water is then forced
through special density filter foam. Because the water is pressurized,
the foam can fill with many more beneficial bacteria without becoming blocked.
Almost solids-free, the water then passes through plastic biomedia (Bioforce
1000, 2000 and 4000 models only) where more beneficial bacteria cleanse
the pollutants. In the UVC models, water then passes close to the UV light,
separated from it by a quartz glass sleeve. The UV light makes algae clump
together and sink to the bottom of the pond or get trapped in the Bioforce
foam next time around. A pop-up indicator shows when the Bioforce filter
needs cleaning.
To
ensure maximum circulation through the filter, it is best to keep the hose
short and the pumping height to a minimum, especially on the discharge
side of the filter.

had the chance yet to install the filter yet, but the pump works beautifully.

I hooked
it up to my pond last night. I have a 165 gallon pond (a little overkill,
but it leaves room for expansion). Prior to installing the filter (Cyprio
Bioforce 500UVC), the water was a pea green and I could not see past the
top inch of water. This morning, 10 hours later, I can see the bottom of
the pond. I am very happy with the filter and the price was great too.

the Bioforce 500UVC Friday afternoon and had it installed and running in
about 30 minutes. By Saturday afternoon the pond was looking much
